Product Overview
The Peripheral Media Tower resides on the operator console of the Myocardial Infarction (MI) and Computed tomography (CT) console. The form factor of the tower is 5.25 Inch with dual bay. The Peripheral Media Tower is also referred to as Small Computer System Interface (SCSI) tower which is used in medical products. A power switch for the SCSI tower to be located on the front or the back of the chassis. All other switches, controls and adjustments for the SCSI tower are located on the front of the chassis. A magneto-optical disk drive bay is on the top slot of the tower. This drive can handle a removable media capacity of 5.2 GB and a SCSI with Insulation-Displacement Contact (IDC) connector is used to connect the conductor of an insulated cable. A Digital Video Disk (DVD) drive bay is at the bottom slot in the tower. The peripheral tower chassis assembly consists of a power cable, fan filter, cooling fan, fuse, enclosure power supply and a chassis. The power cable is used to transform power to drives such as DVD drives and ACARD. The filter is provided for air purification purposes. The unit provides a cooling fan to dissipate heat generated during operation. A fuse is provided for overvoltage or surge protection.
